Enjoy all of May celebrations in Compostela with CNH!

We come from celebrating Labor Day with great relief but in this month of May, we still have many more holidays and special days to enjoy. Take the opportunity to visit Santiago de Compostela during some of the best parties of the year!

Although May 6 is not an official holiday, at CNH we think that it should definitely be! That's why we've already told you (in our previous post) different ways you could enjoy Mother's Day in its fullest, visiting the most beautiful parks in the city, which are now dressed in spring, or tasting the delicious cuisine of Compostela. We hope our recommendations have helped you!

We have as well proposed you a plan to enjoy Galician Letters’ Day, holding on to the tablet we put to your disposition during your stay at any of CNH hotels, devouring the best literature or visiting some of the multiple free entrance museums of Santiago.

Another Galician celebration which is lived in Compostela and you should not miss is Ascensión 2018! It takes place between May 9^th and 13^th. The Ferris Wheel, which is already located in the Alameda Park is one of the symbols of the party. You should not either stop watching the Cabezudos’ parade, another iconic and folkloric activity of these celebrations.

The free and live music is also symbolic of Ascensión, and on this occasion, you will have the chance to enjoy the wonderful Ivan Ferreiro and Delaporte and, of course, the spectacles of numerous “orquestas”, such as the Orquesta América or the Orquestra Passarela.

And if your musical preferences are different, Santiago also thinks of you! You can delight your senses with classical music by the hand of the Real Filharmonía de Galicia and the V Cycle of Música de Cámara in the Cities Patrimony of Humanity.

If what you want is to dance to the sound of different rhythms, you can also enjoy the Folk in the streets, with ska and Jamaican sounds, or relaxing in a “sesión vermú” with tropical modern music.

You can forget neither about theatre sessions, the Galician pure race horses contest.
