Where to listen to music in Santiago

Mythical bars with live music

The squares and streets near the Cathedral -yes, right where our hotels are located-host several of the most emblematic coffee shops and nightlife in Santiago. The city enjoys a lively nightlife due in large part to its age-old university status and many of the establishments retain the charm of the historic Compostela stones. A Casa das Crechas -an inexcusable visit for lovers of folk music- the Borriquita de Belém -for the jazzmaniacs-; o A Reixa -oriented towards rock and punk- are some of the classics, without forgetting the Embora, A Gramola ... or the Momo a Rúa, where, in addition to the music of singer-songwriters, we can enjoy their gardens. The next big event will be from 12 to 16 September the fifth edition of the Wos Festival x SON Estrella Galicia, a meeting that, with alternative and avant-garde music as a standard, proposes concerts, sound art, film, performance, colloquia and framed lectures in a dozen emblematic spaces of Santiago. Laurel Halo, Abul Mogard, Ron Morelli or Spectrum are some of the poster artists.

Parties and events

But in addition to these stable appointments, we must not lose sight of the agenda of parties and unique events. This year Iván Ferreiro performed in May at the Festas da Ascensión, the Son do Camiño Festival brought in June artists such as Jamiroquai, Lenny Kravitz, The Killers or Martin Garrix; In July Rubén Blades made a stop in Santiago on his farewell tour in the framework of the Festas do Apóstolo, this August Ricky Martin visited us and in October, the Brazilian band Tribalistas will offer in our city one of his only three concerts in Spain.
