works of restoratin of the Pórtico da Gloria were sponsored by the Barrié Foundation. They started in 2008 and were focused on two aspects: tackling the damage caused by humidity and recovering the original polychrome. Once completed, the Portico was opened to the public at the end of last July. Since then, more than 65,000 people have been able to see it thanks to a model of free express visits that allowed access to the temple by the baroque staircase to groups of 25 people in a wide schedule that ran from eight in the morning to ten at night .

From Tuesday, and while proceeding to the encapsulation to isolate the Pórtico from the ships, the visits will be limited to groups invited by the Fundación Catedral, which, in this way, will rehearse the model that will be put into practice from November.
